The mug was fantastic, my dad really liked it until he stopped teleporting the team which happened about 2 months after purchase. He was VERY careful with this mug because he adored it, he always hand washed it with the utmost care. Very disappointed they didn't last longer at this price!

Bought this for a friend for Christmas and recently visited him. I saw a mug in his kitchen with more than half of the picture peeled off revealing the black mug underneath. I asked him what was wrong and he said it must not have been dishwasher safe. Who makes a mug that can't be washed in the dishwasher? Well you found it. Apparently it happened after a wash. Not impressed.

I bought this as a gift for a friend over 3 years ago! He sent me some pictures of it today and it's still working! For the record, this is his daily coffee mug, he says it has been in his office since I gave it to him and has been used for coffee daily ever since. I asked what he does to clean it and he said he basically just rinses and pats dry with a paper towel and some soap. There is no dishwasher. Surprised to see a gift like this from the last 3 years of daily use and it still works…

This makes a fantastic gift for a Trek fan. The transporter effect works very well - the characters completely disappear from the side of the transporter room and appear very clearly from the side of the planet. My only complaint is that their heads are too close to the rim of the cup from the transport room side. They are larger than you would normally fill a cup, what ends up happening is that the crew members' bodies are brought to the planet while their heads remain on the ship. Of course…

I got this as a birthday present :-). I'm a huge fan of all things Star Trek so I had to buy this mug. It's very strong, it seems the handle won't break (my big annoyance!). I have so many cute cups with glued handles that now eke out a existence as pen cups, universal containers, etc. The transporter effect is fun to watch. Got this as a Christmas present and love the idea of transporting troops from one side of the mug to the other.
