Conclusion above. I would not recommend this fan. The fan itself is nicely designed and looks good. However, when installed, the lighting was so dim that I have night lights that are brighter. The guide/manual doesn't say anything about what to do about it. I was able to find on the Hunter website in the Troubleshoot (Enable Fan Control Dimming) section that describes how to increase the brightness of the lights using the remote. But even after increasing the brightness via the remote, it doesn't shine very brightly. I tried clear dimmable 75W LED bulbs, which helped a bit. The problem seems to be the thickness and lack of transparency of the ball of light, so few people can fix it (planning to use 100 watt bulbs next!). Replacing lightbulbs is difficult when you need to reattach the globe/retaining ring as the globe is constantly moving away from the retaining ring making it difficult to keep the globe/ring straight so you can insert the screws that hold it in place and hold position. I solved this problem by using gorilla tape on the inside to hold them together by inserting screws. Another difficulty was that the fan rotation direction switch is inside the lamp housing! Therefore, you should go through the above process at least twice a year. Eventually when we first installed the fan it was so loud I called Revain and arranged for a return/refund. One of the reasons you buy a Hunter fan is that it runs quietly. I have used Hunter fans several times over the years and have never experienced such noise. But it mostly went away after it had been running for about an hour, so I decided to leave the fan on. I wouldn't recommend this fan mainly because the light cover is too thick and it greatly reduces the brightness. Another reason is poor design making it so difficult to get to the bulbs (and fan direction switch) due to the ball/retaining ring coming loose. The noise issue seemed to resolve itself, but you might be out of luck.
