What was NOT said in the description

I've heard rave reviews about Kai brand scissors so I gladly ordered this trimmer and expected it to be better. It wasn't advertised as ergonomic, but some reviewers noted that it felt very comfortable in the hand. Sorry, it's nothing more than a plastic chopstick knife. There is no soft grip on the handle. It has a very sharp, easy-to-turn blade that cuts smoothly. Except in construction, it will NOT work with slotted, striped, or mini-striped rulers. It features a flat, disc-shaped safety rail built around the blade. Unlike other cutters, you cannot retract the blade with the push of a button. With this one, the blade retracts automatically as soon as you press on the cutting surface, so it won't work with a slotted ruler. Considering it was $16.95 plus about $5 postage, it was a lot more expensive than Olfa or Fiskars and I don't think it was worth it because I like my slotted rulers.
