I put it in the lobby, we walk through the front door all the time every day, we are a family of 7 and have pets. Color and pattern are excellent, absorbs well. I've been using it in this high traffic area for a few months now and it still looks brand new. It's not what I want for my living room, it doesn't compare to a real oriental rug, but it's perfect for hallways and hallways because it's stain-resistant, durable and decorative. When shipped it was tightly shrink wrapped and took quite a while to fully flatten. I would say it took almost a week for the last edge to really straighten out. I use this on hardwood and it does move intermittently unless I use a grippy mat underneath, but I wouldn't call it "slippery" in the sense that I'd be afraid of floating around the room just walking over one grippy mat. Mat. I'll see if there are coordinating runners to add to adjacent lanes as I've been happy with how this one is holding up.
