Really good value for money faucet

If you've looked at faucets you've no doubt noticed the sheer variety of styles and prices. As someone who has had many expensive name brand faucets over the years, I have to say that this Arofa faucet performs just as well as those that cost many times that. Let's face it, all a faucet has to do is move water from your pipes to your sink, be simple and reliable, and still look chic. If you want trendy, expensive designs and materials, great, but only the most discerning critic will notice or care. This faucet has a metal body, like expensive brands. It has an adjustable metal temperature and a flow knob with a ceramic valve, just like the expensive brands. It has a detachable atomizer head with variable flow/spray/hold functions like the expensive brands. It has braided metal tubing and braided nylon tubing, just like the expensive brands (yes, some have metal tubing, but most are nylon and will last longer than the faucet itself). Why it's cheaper is that it uses less expensive materials in several areas: the retaining ring that mounts under the sink is plastic, not brass (you'll never see it, and durability probably doesn't matter, it unless your faucet is used as playground equipment). The atomizer head is made of painted plastic rather than metal like some brands (although some also use plastic). It's made in China, but if you look closely, many others are at least the main ingredients. Above all, it says "Arofa" unobtrusively and not a well-known brand. However, this faucet comes with additional aerators, handle parts and adapters which are not available in most cases. Packaging is top notch, installation is easy, water flow is excellent with a large gap, and adjustments are precise. A couple of minor things I have is, firstly, the atomizer function only activates when water is flowing and switches back to flow when turned off. It is very clear on the packaging that this is intentional and not broken. It just seems weird that it doesn't stay in place and it's a bit annoying. Second, the atomizer doesn't fit the neck magnetically, but I don't consider this an imprecise connection due to the weighted tubing. The last problem is that at a certain flow rate it causes a slight hum. It has to be a natural resonance as I can keep repeating it, but I just tend to avoid it. To be honest these issues are very minor and for everyday use I really couldn't ask for more. Even if it only lasts five years, which is what their warranty period is (and longer than most), it's no worse than my previous brand faucets which started with K and M respectively and cost more than twice as much.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Reliable
