Review on πŸ“ CruzTOOLS DGTG2: Advanced Digital Tire Pressure Gauge for Precise Readings by Chris Bailey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great sensor for sports bikes on the go!

I have owned one of these tire gauges for many years. Bought my first one from Aerostich and it was blue like the picture. I'm glad to see that the model has since been updated. The battery compartment can now be opened with a dime and the battery can be removed more easily. Two much needed improvements. The one I received was black instead of blue (which doesn't bother me) and the battery in my device was DOA. Which sucks because it made the sensor more expensive. I will not be returning it for one or both of these reasons. Yes, I'm a bit disappointed, but I could see that the internals have been improved. This sensor (the first one I had) served me with a battery for three years and finally died after another two years. It's accurate enough to adjust my sportbike's tire pressure on the fly (but I've never checked it against a calibrated professional pressure gauge to see how accurate it really is). Straight valve stems make it difficult to align the pressure gauge correctly. and you might accidentally release some air. My husband hates this sensor, he has big hands (but still small for the average man) and he can't get it between the brake discs on his front wheel. The rear is also an issue due to the limited space. I have bent valve stems and small arrows and have never had this problem. If you have rubber valve stems instead of solid metal, you may have trouble sealing the gauge around the valve and lose air again in the process, but it's doable with two hands. The added movement of the rubber valve stems helps a little with alignment issues. Conclusion: If you have angled valve stems at 90Β° to the travel line, I wholeheartedly recommend this sensor for its compact size and durability in your tank bag. or bag. If you have straight valve stems (or your angled ones are turned in line (like on LSR road bikes), be aware of the above issues, or carry a clip-on extension (like my husband with a pretty neat gauge should) or supercharger ) I give the sensor five stars because the wrong color sensor when the battery is dead is not a product design error but rather a seller error.
