3.5mm connector loose? Here's a simple, elegant, and affordable solution!

I have a small business that lends laptops and headphones to a hearing program that helps children with learning disabilities. The 3.5mm plug on my computers needs to be tight in order for the headphones to transmit the computer program properly - this properly working 3.5mm plug is the weak link between the computer program and the child who is better able to learn. Over time the 3.5mm plug on many of my laptops has become loose, or a customer ripped out the headphones which broke the plastic ring around the 3.5mm jack causing the plug to wobble. In this case, the sound will not be transmitted properly. To make matters worse, I don't have the money and these laptops have a 3.5mm jack as an integral part of the motherboard, so you can see that if that jack breaks, the computer becomes an expensive doorstop . I found out about a USB to 3.5mm adapter that could make my borrowed computers work. I've bought a few that have no sound, make a loud continuous clicking sound, or have altered the sound going into the headphones in such a way that the listening program isn't working properly. Those weren't decisions. I needed a USB adapter that would play sound exactly like the sound coming out of the 3.5mm jack. Enter Syba External USB Stereo Audio Adapter. It's plug and play, so the laptop recognizes it immediately. The sound coming out of the USB adapter's new 3.5mm jack is exactly the same as the sound coming out of the original 3.5mm jack, and my program works exactly like it does should. For a few bucks I can save a few $800 computers from oblivion! It's like early Christmas! Some of my Windows computers recognized and immediately redirected audio to the USB/3.5mm adapter, for some I had to right click on the volume icon and select "Playback Devices" and then select Syba as the default audio output device. It took about 15 seconds so not a big problem. I'm a tolerable techie, not an expert, so I can't explain why this happens, but if you buy an adapter and there's no sound, keep that in mind! You can get to the right section by typing "device manager" in the search bar, but right-clicking the speaker icon in the taskbar will take you to the right place in one go. They come in handy when my next rental computer needs a new 3.5mm jack!
