This toy is very exciting. It got me too involved as a parent. First you have to knock out all the styrofoam pieces and it took my son and I half an hour to start assembling. That's a lot of work! The instructions are quite complicated, and it became difficult even for me. If your child is old enough (maybe around 10 years old), patient and focused, this would be a good rainy day project. The built toy is fragile, so it is not very convenient to play with. My son was too young for this so I would suggest checking the appropriate age range for this toy. I should!
