Review on 🌬️ Dorman 911-069 Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid: Reliable and Efficient Solution for Ventilation System by Charles Adelaja

Maybe deleted early?!?

Those stupid vaporizer codes 0442 and 0455 have haunted me for years. I bought it in June last year and replaced it with an ac delco part yesterday thinking I was done with it after replacing my vaporizer canister a few days ago and the damn gas cap indicator wouldn't go away. Since I changed the gas cap in 2016 and all the codes are gone I think I now know that the supposed OEM gas cap I bought can't be the problem as it only lasted 7 months. Let's return to the review of the part. I used this part on a 2005 Deville and the biggest problem is removing the hose, you have to collapse the tabs and push it up and down (same for the canister) rather than fighting it (rear placement rider bike) it is easier to remove from the holder and detach the other end of the hose from the evaporator tank and thus completely remove it from the car. I used to pay the retail price because I couldn't take it off, but this time I found out. So actually, this part probably still works, but I took a chance and replaced it with the original $26 part to pass the smoke test. Hope this review helps someone else. I've learned that these Cadillac Devilles generally don't like aftermarket parts, so it was probably a matter of time before this one went away anyway. cure for my problem. The gas cap has been tested for emissions so while not matching the GM parts database it works correctly (probably an updated part).
