This is an impressive air purifier. I have 4 air purifiers and this one is the best. He is the strongest and the greatest. Next to me is a nasty smoker. And the smell of their smoke begins to reach me. I turn on this machine and it just sucks it out. I can't smell the smoke anymore. Other air purifiers I have don't do this. I originally bought this unit because it has a high CADR rating which is great for particles that are harder to capture like smoke. Many other air purifiers have a lower number and I needed more than 450, that is for cigarette smoke. It has a CADR number of 500! And yes, it works for me. So, apart from that, I run this for an hour at night before bed to clean the air in the room. I try to only use it when and with the occasional smell of smoke. I don't use it all day as I'm sure it will be expensive since it's so heavy. The rest of the time I use less powerful cleaners. But this one is my favorite. It's like the gold of air purifiers. Cleans the room in 15 minutes. The air that comes out of it is so fresh, it's like smelling like a new car. There are 4 settings. 1 is very quiet and smooth while 4 is louder and more powerful. Of course I usually use it on 4 when I don't need to answer the phone then lower the number to hear it as it can sound like a loud hurricane fan. Although I don't mind. Just write the number if I need to reduce it. It also has a timer and UV light, as well as a light for the cleaner itself. This is useful if you want to see it in the dark. Overall I am very happy with this machine and glad I got it. I have no problems with it and have no complaints.
