The pitcher was too small for the pot!
The jug was not 2 liters. It was too small, the glass lid was too big. The pot "hangs" on the edge of the pot with space around it. I replaced a 2 liter jug that was no longer working. The jug from my old 2 liter jug goes perfectly with this pot. Somehow this left the factory with the wrong parts in the box.
