If you are looking for a microscope for beginners; spend a little more and get this one. I did a lot of research before buying this microscope and I'm so glad I did. I'm not sure any other microscope in this price range offers 2000x magnification. This is also a quality; Lenses are excellent. There are lights above and below the slide. I haven't mastered the phone holder yet, but that doesn't stop me from giving a less than 5 star rating.
