I waited a few months to write this review to see how the leash would hold up to the abuse I knew my dog would be put through. I have a 40 lb Pomsky who really enjoys walking and LOVES to lead. I use this leash with a harness and attach the leash to the chest harness to help the dog turn if the leash runs out. The leash is holding up very well so far. It hasn't worn out yet, shedding or fraying, and the clip is still holding up. The extra padding on the handle is a nice addition, but it's bulky and uncomfortable to hold. The padding also doesn't fully cover the grip, creating gaps at the ends, adding to the awkwardness. Because of this poorly executed upholstery I give 4 instead of 5 stars. It's enough that I only replace it when it's no longer safe due to wear and tear.
