Review on AmazonBasics Self Locking Tape Measure 8 Meters by Tiger Carpani

I got this because I had a $10 Amazon Basics coupon and I would never buy it again. For me, one of the main advantages of self-locking tape measure is that you can pull the tape measure to the end of the object to be measured without leaving it. This band is too thin to make anything larger than 4 or 5 feet. The locking mechanism is also very firm (sometimes you have to push it back in for it to retract). Also, the rubber portion of the case wasn't installed properly when I opened it out of the box, and even after putting it back in myself, it doesn't feel all that well made. Would never buy this again. You can get a much better $10 band from any other brand.
