Bought as a gift for a friend. I love the quirky methods used to make nutcrackers these days. Instead of fierce soldiers with puppet mouths, there are now a variety of characters available, ranging from the thought-provoking to the funny. I think a little bit of creativity on the part of the designer makes people smile a little longer enjoying their "good" experience. I know my girlfriend was thrilled with her gift. One of the most delicious moments of autumn and winter is eating nuts. How much fun this simple task is when there is a choice of characters!
