I bought 2 of these fans with remote control and lights. They work great! They are very quiet, especially on the lowest setting which creates a good breeze. In fact, I've just ordered another larger one (54 inches) for another room in my house. These are 44 inches tall and work great in my 11' x 12' room and my 11' x 14' room. They are white and blend in harmoniously with the 8-foot ceiling. They shrink by 11 inches. The lamp also has a dimmer that can be adjusted via the remote control. I had an electrician friend install them for $100 each. I definitely recommend them.
