Capacitive touch buttons make it easier to seal bags ahead of time.

Day 1 with Mueller vacuum sealant. Overall, this is a great value at $39. Compact and easy to use. At a retail price of $59, you should pick up a Nesco unit for a few bucks more, although the Mueller is much smaller and seems to work just as well. I had a few issues with the bags not being fully vacuumed, but I'll put that down to user error for now. My only complaint is that the buttons are too sensitive. I think hard keys would be much better. Multiple times I closed the lid and closed the bag before even pressing the vacuum button. It turns out my joint touched the seal button. Follow-up: The bags are well sealed and vacuumed. What I mentioned earlier was caused by the packets being pierced with sharp bits of beef jerky. I still find the buttons to be overly sensitive, plus they have built-in LEDs that are invisible in bright light or sunlight. Both are little things. β€” ** My only real complaint is when you try to seal the package before it happens automatically. This will stop the vacuum pump and seal the bag, resulting in a slight loss of vacuum. Normally the vacuum pump runs continuously until the bag is completely sealed.**
