I've seen a number of reviews praising these headphones for their durability and that they will last for many years. I had to try them after they were recommended to me by a human couple. The boy was disappointed. I liked the way they sounded but they caused concern within the week I received them. After 4-6 days of use, I heard a faint click and realized that the hinge that rotates the left earcup had become loose. It didn't affect the sound, but it was annoying to see one earcup moving more freely than the other. Then, half an hour later, I hear another slight click on the right side, and the hinge on the right cup came loose, and the next day, the plastic tabs that expand the headband began to loosen. The sound was ok though and I could live with that but decided to return the headphones because if they start giving problems within 7 days who knows how long before something more serious shows up? The build quality of the new models has dropped, which is a shame because I really liked the sound. The bass was punchy without being overbearing and the treble was relaxed but with good extension for the price. However, they were too fragile for me to trust as long-lasting headphones.
