Review on 🎨 Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Paint Set - Pack of 12 Vibrant Colors for Artists by Stephanie Smith

Great colors. I've always liked Winsor & Newton colours, both students and professionals and have been using them for many years so I was confident in purchasing the Winsor & Newton 0390658 Cotman Watercolor Pencil Set, 12 Tins. I deliberately chose this set because I wanted a standalone set with a water brush in the palette. I thought it would be a great idea for painting on the go until I used the water brush. The water brush leaks water drops around the brush tip and ruins my work. In addition, the color pigment is absorbed by the brush tip into the water tank. This will contaminate the clean water in the tank, contaminating subsequent pigments. This makes it completely unusable. I've used several water brushes, from cheap to expensive, from different brands, and none of them worked that badly, I'm wondering if I might have a dirty(?) other point, the palette area of the box sits higher up and at an angle to cover the mixing area. Not sure what the purpose of this is. A little cumbersome to work with. If there is a reason for this unusual design I would like to know. At the moment I'm a bit disappointed with this kit mainly because the water brush doesn't work.
