The color is not quite like the picture. It has some purple streaks on the buds but they are very light so it's ok. It came in a box, in a big plastic bag. Some wrinkled but not much. I carefully placed some plastic bags on top of my head to restore shape and I'll steam out a few wrinkles later, which isn't too bad. This hat comes with an adjustable black elastic which is a bit out of place for such a bright color but can easily be replaced. I have a lot of hair but I still had to use an elastic to get it to my size. I am very happy with this hat! I think I might buy some other colors too! Ideal for spring or summer festivals, churches, weddings, etc.
