I have used spearfishing cameras from various companies including WaterWolf, GoFish, Marcum and Vexilar and they are as good if not better in many ways but much cheaper price. I bought this primarily for open water reconnaissance and hard water shooting. Pros: The durable hard case is really good. Protects the camera, cable and screen so you don't have to worry about them being smashed against an ice skate or boat. The screen is bright, easy to see, the picture is clear. The DVR functions work great and the video quality is great for sharing on social media. The camera has many versatile orientations, including vertical, canted, and landscape. The battery life is exceptional. It lasted a full 10 hours in my living room (obviously it gets exhausted quicker if you use infrared lighting). VLK. It is difficult to set the camera's orientation in a horizontal position, but by purchasing a Marcum camera pan this problem has been alleviated. Overall, this is a great tool to add to my fishing arsenal.
