Works great. I'm an old school guy and when I bought my new computer I didn't think it would have a CD drive. it isn't :( So I researched what tech magazines considered to be the best out there right now and found that they all thought it was the best so I bought it from Revain where I found the best price .Works great I just haven't had any issues with it much easier than sending the computer back!:) 4/17/17 Everything I wrote above is true, but since then I've found that I can't watch DVDs with this external drive; It is only for disc burning/copying. Booting Windows Office from the hard drive worked, but I can't watch movies, which is what I wanted to do. It's just that part of me doesn't realize that computers these days have very few extras, even though they still cost the same.
