Review on Progressive Suspension 03 1321B Black Spring by Dru Labrado

This is not a rating, therefore progressive claims. As advertised it's supposed to be a 65/130 progressive rate spring set, they even list it as such on their website's PDF specs page. It's actually a double speed setup, 2 linear speed springs stacked on top of each other. The top is an 8.75" 130 lb line rate spring, the bottom is a 3.25" 200 lb line rate spring (this is printed on the side of each). I have tested them myself using an HD digital postal scale and Arbor Press. The top tested at 126 pounds per inch (close enough for government work) and the bottom tested at 155 pounds, a far cry from the printed 200 pound rating. So what do we have here? This is a 130/155 dual speed spring. This rating is per spring, not per set. Altogether it will be somewhere around 260/310. Now the most interesting. I called Progressive tech support and firstly they had no idea what I was talking about until I read them the numbers on the sides of the springs (which they admitted were linear speed numbers) and secondly they had no idea what they were talking about. resale. They actually went back and consulted one of their engineers who said the springs would be stiff individually but when put together they would match the advertised 65/130 numbers. WHAT? So you mean if I put two hard springs together vertically I get a softer tune? As far as I can tell, that means they've somehow managed to change the laws of physics as we know it, which means you should buy stocks right away. Poor support, poor understanding of the product they are selling and falsely advertised products. On a positive note, the powder coating looked nice. Laugh out loud.
