Grain size. He is lazy to chew on chunks and would rather not eat than chew. The pellet size is tiny and perfect for my small dog's mouth. They're crunchy and full of great ingredients that I love feeding him. However, before he was halfway through the bag, the bottom leaked and became oily, destroying part of the printing on the bag. I found a very small hole in one of the bottom corners of the bag (only noticed because that corner was bent over compared to the others). Considering how the oil had destroyed the bag, I was worried about the food itself. I ended up having to stop eating immediately for fear my dog would get sick. Of all dog food packages I have ever received, this is the first time I have experienced this. It's like oil leaking out of a bag of potato chips. I had really high hopes for this product but I think I need to keep looking. I'm not sure if this is a one-time problem. Maybe the bag was broken. Who knows.
