I wash a lot of dishes, pots and pans by hand and these sponges are perfect. The soft side does 90% of the work and the rough side removes burned fat without scratching it. I also use it on my counters and cutting boards (scratch side). I try to live sustainably and love that they are natural and biodegradable. And durable! I bought these three months ago and am still using the first one. It also had many benefits. I put it in the dishwasher to disinfect it. Also economical! I have old and arthritic hands and the whole sponge was too big for me so I cut it in half. Now I actually have 20 sponges. You will accompany me for a long time.
