Review on Sony 50DMR47SP DVD R 4 7GB Recordable by Roberto Manzer

I don't normally have problems with Sony products (this computer and my Sony TVs) but these discs don't seem to be up to the "Sony standards" I'm used to. To give a specific reason why I didn't get less than 5 stars in the review, the reflective silver coating on the drives scratches *VERY* easily (as if it were only lightly powder coated) rendering the drive unusable and data lost. . *if* it's a manufacturing defect, I understand. If it's a policy change I'll have to look elsewhere. All previous Sony discs had a smooth surface to write on with a felt tip pen, including the new batch of CDs I bought. It's not like this. it is very rough and looks "unfinished".
