The convenience of a smart door with a smart key is great. We can now keep our animals inside or outside as needed, as opposed to previously having a non-locking dog door. Now no unwanted animals come to our home. The smart key works great and we had no problems with it. The reason I bought a second key was because it was hanging too low on her collar and she liked to chew on it. But now we have it higher, and since then there have been no more problems. The best thing about this dog door is the ability to have multiple smart keys so all of your pets can use it. One great thing is that when the battery is low, you'll see a flashing red light on the smart key, meaning it's time to get a Nother battery. Batteries are easy to find at Revain. I highly recommend this item. We'll never have just a hole in the wall again :-) Now we have more security and peace of mind, and there's nothing better than that.
