Review on G.Liane Professional Crystal Glass Nail File Set - Double Sided Etched Design For Nail Art & Care, Alternative To Metal Files Emery Boards & Buffer (Clear Round) by Micheal Looney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super fine. Great for cracked nails.

I have problems with a couple of nails that crack all the time (it's one of those aging things). With emery boards and metal files I've never been able to get the nail edges around the cracks smooth enough, and the rough edges catch on things like fabric and make the cracks worse. This glass file popped up in the search results. I'd never heard of a glass file, and thought it sounded goofy, but the reviews were great, so I gave it a try. The file works great! The ground glass surface is just abrasive enough to smooth the nail edges around the cracks. Much finer than any emery board or metal file I've used. The glass file is like a super-fine sandpaper. This review will be of no interest to folks who actually know about manicures and pedicures, but if you're an old fart like me who's looking for something to take care of old cracked nails, it's worth giving this a try. Worked great for me.

Pros
  • Heavier, seems to file nails more finely and cleanly than other brands I've purchased.
Cons
  • The clear round design makes it difficult to see the filing progress.
