Upon opening, a chemical smell occurred from the puzzle pieces, but did dissipate as I sorted. Although some might feel the letter coding on the backs of the pieces a cheat, with the space constraints of living in a tiny apartment, it was really helpful to be able to sort effectively into smaller groups of pieces. I didn't pay attention to the size of 24" x 24", when I bought this and needed to use a slightly larger board than I usually do, to put this together on. The size of the pieces was okay, with most of them similar to Buffalo brand, but some smaller. The image was glossy and puzzle included a poster that I liked. I do over 300 puzzles a year, and this was my second time doing this brand. I would buy more, but pay attention to the finished size for next one.
