I always buy speedometer mufflers for my teenage swimmer. We go through them like crazy. I don't know what's going on but every time I buy them they seem to be of different quality. Sometimes they last for 1-3 months, sometimes for a month and are translucent due to chlorine. No, we don't calculate training frequency, it's the same 4-5 times a week and for swimming competitions we use team jammers and speedometers with the team logo and they certainly last us longer. Even if my speedo is fine, other brands are even worse, so what's the lesser evil? And they aren't cheap either. If I can't find better and more durable ones, I'm happy to swap them out.
