Review on 4 Pairs Metal Bookends For Heavy Books, 8 Pieces Shelf Holder Supports Stoppers - 4 Color Options by Dana Franklin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Budget Bookends are All You Need

These are by far the flimsiest bookends of the 20 pairs I have bought over the years. But they are also 1/5 the price of most other pair. And you know what? They work just as well. The metal on these is thinner than you can imagine and slightly bendable. But when the books are placed at the base they stay (mostly) vertical. With heavier metal bookends, you could support encyclopedias, but these are too light weight for that (they bend more if they support heavy books with pressure toward the bookend). If you dropped them, I bet they would ding so they are probably not suitable for a commercial environment (e.g. school library). But in the home, the bookends can be there for years before you move a book that holds the bookend. Really - these are a discount way for book lovers to maintain their libraries.

Pros
  • The book ends are good to use and the style is easy, light.
Cons
  • The shelf holders may not be suitable for bookshelves with multiple tiers
