Sofas now move easily when we want them to, and stay in place when we don't want them to move.
We have Ikea sofas on the wooden floor. We tried sticky rubber pads. abominable. We tried to think about what we really need, searched hard, found it and now our life has really gotten better. My wife and I have found family happiness with these foot pads. and no more yelling at the kids all the time for banging on the couches.
