Lid is NOT DURABLE - see image. It's been about a year now and I'm buying another shaker bottle. The fatal flaw justifying this one-star rating is the cost-saving measure inherent in the lid's design (see image). The threaded bottom of the lid is actually glued to the top of the lid (there is a flip stop). I use my shaker regularly 3-4 times in the office, I don't even wash it every day (probably should) if I did the structural integrity of the lid would wear out even sooner. Other annoyances include the rubber casing around the finger/thumb rest, which wears out after a couple of weeks - not a big deal, but again this suggests that cost-saving measures are a priority for the Blender Bottle, rather than even quality products to develop and deliver when they demand a premium price. I've had a cheap bottle of GNC for years and the funny thing is that it's lasted forever, sure the labels have fallen off, the structure of the bottle is still intact albeit a bit ugly. Which brings me to my last point. The cap has its own design flaws which I mentioned earlier, you know what makes this bottle last a very long time folks? LOGO! Surprise. Surprise. A lot of effort was put into the development of the brand logo so that the marketing effect remains visible to everyone even after hundreds of washes. It's sad that we all pay more for the "Original" blender bottle and what we get in return. Our money is now a low quality product with a premium price.
