uncomfortable awkward difficult painful poorly designed horrible

When I broke my arm over 13 weeks ago, it was given to me by a podiatrist, not Revain. However, having lived with it for so long, I feel more than entitled to comment on its functionality. There is insufficient padding. Yes, you have to put on the 'knitwear' underneath, but it's shorter than the brace - which means the brace's hard edges rest on the inside of my elbow and cause bedsores. Relax. I ordered extra jerseys - you know what? The new ones are shorter than the original two! It remains for me to put cotton on the pressure points - it is difficult and uncomfortable, and sometimes the cotton falls out. I think I read somewhere in the instructions that it can be cut and made shorter, but WITH WHAT? SCISSORS? KNIFE? SEEN? Yes, I just get my trusty saw and cut it with my one non-dominant hand. In addition, the victim cannot put this orthosis on himself, and it is important who puts it on and tightens it. Living alone, I discovered a friend of mine had his skin pinched between two pieces of plastic on the back - after twenty-four hours of agony, another experienced friend saved me from gangrene (literally. I'm not kidding). reposition. I'm very careful who touches this thing and this friend kindly takes it off, replaces the stocking stitch and re-ties this monster twice a week, but it would be better if I could do it myself. to a ridiculously complex design. That's four, count, four pieces of plastic - two in the hard shell and two in the soft shell. The two soft pieces are meant to fit under the hard pieces, but that's easier said than done when you're trying to put them back on. The softer part of my biceps kept popping up. I've tried tying a wide ribbon between the velcro straps, but without much success. Then the four pieces continue to slide as you try to wrap the Velcro straps, which continue to stick together, and when you stretch the straps, the four pieces of the orthosis shift again. there will be no other alternative to this really annoying device. A materials company in Europe has developed a well-padded, one-piece shoulder rest, but it doesn't seem to be available. The medical community just wants to drive you to the operating room, and there's really no incentive for the manufacturer to do better.
