I used this to bake cupcakes about 5 times before returning a few weeks later. The nonstick coating worked without butter or muffin cases the first two times I removed the muffins right after baking; although I've never had a crust on cupcakes. The 3rd time I noticed the cupcakes were sticking to the device. On the fourth try, I cleaned the device with oil, but that didn't solve the sticking problem. I used silicone muffin liners on my 5th try but I don't like muffin liners because I never get a crust on the bottom of the muffins and the muffins tend to stick to the liners and tear the cupcake when they come out of the liners molds are removed. This was the last try. Then I packed it up and sent the device back. I've since returned to my oven, with an automatic shut-off timer, non-stick muffin tins, and the ability to bake more than one batch at a time.
