I used this to repair rusted threads in a not very heavy gauge steel pipe. I followed the instructions carefully - there are a few steps - and everything worked great. The installation was really fun. If the coil is longer than the thickness of the material it will be installed in, it is best to cut it off a little before installation - at the end that will be visible after installation and not at the end deep in the hole. The near end should be flush with the surface, and if the far end is too long it can interfere with the final step by breaking the shank.
