The benefit is that the dog can stand right into this harness and you can pull your pet out of harm's way if necessary without possible injury or discomfort. This is an adorable vest made with thick, durable fabric and strong velcro closure. When it gets hot I often soak the vest in cool water and it acts as a cooling jacket.
