To be clear this works great for electrical applications or anywhere you don't need to solder to look good. However, the flux core in this solder forms a very ugly ring around the solder joint. Given that I probably use it equally for soldering my wife's bracelets and for electrical work, this is an undesirable result. Yes, I know it's not 100% the right tool for the job. And a careful application of some kind of jewelry polish can get rid of most flux residues. But other brands of lead-free silver solder I've used for the same purpose didn't have this problem.
