My truck naturally had a bad transmission seal. This was on a 2006 Dodge 1500 4x4. It wasn't difficult, the hardest part of the whole job was that I didn't have a lift, so I was on my side or on my back the whole time. Once you've pulled the gasket out, installing a new gasket is fairly easy. When you remove the gear nut holding the yolk. Notice how far this nut is pushed in. I took pictures for myself. I made it as close as possible to what was in the picture. I also did the diff cover gasket and changed all the fluids. I figured if I sealed gears I could do anything. Also, don't forget to put marks on the driveshaft and fork so everything comes back exactly as you took it off. The drive shaft bolts came out easily, one had the Fear of God embedded in it, so I did my best to unscrew it. Take your time and take enough breaks, your neck will tire from holding it. If you have an elevator, this job is much easier.
