NOT SAFE FOR ANIMALS

Let me start off by saying I purchased this for an eight month old Great Pyrenees puppy who loves food almost more than us. Almost. He can eat his 3 cups of food which is floating in water in under a minute. These pretty little bowls were just what we needed. It did slow him down a bit. It took him 3 minutes, with no water, to finish his meal. That doesn’t seem like much of an improvement but I will take what I can get. One set back is that 3 cups of food does not fit in the bowl. That left me scratching my head but thought maybe I could work around it. Why I am giving it 2 stars (I seriously want to love these bowls, really I do), after feeding him he didn’t stop eating. He started to eat the bowl. The material is way too soft and the bowl lost. I would like to say it gave a good fight but to be honest it didn’t. It was pretty much shredded. All in all, food and bowl took 5 minutes. So he ate out of it once under the families watchful eye and the second time the bowl died.*** Update. While we were out of town our house sitter fed our puppy with the second bowl. He shredded the bowl again. Unfortunately, the house sitter wasn’t watching him close enough and the bowl was digested and killed him shortly after. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE BOWLS! The plastic is too soft and can kill your pet. Feed them off of a cookie pan. It still slows them down but doesn’t harm them.
