Totally solved the problem for our god inhaling dog. She’s only 10 pounds so she gets frustrated with the final corners a bit of food gets into since her tongue is not as long as our 30 pounder using the same bowl. She gets frustrated and growls at it, hilarious, but at least is not at risk for bloat from eating too fast. Sturdy and cute red color as pictured. Happy w purchase.

I have one of these for my 80lb 9 year old American Bulldog who scarfs food like he hasn't eaten since 1945. He would eat so fast that he would puke, then eat that 😧. It slows him down and he hasnt puked in months! I love the grips on the bottom that keep it from sliding around as he battles with it to get every last piece out. I just bought another for our puppy and it works great for him too!

We had to purchase this because our Goldendoodle would literally eat her food in 33.3 seconds flat. This keeps her honest while she is eating. Its a simple bowl with a simple design to make her work for her dinner. It does the job and I would purchase this again.

It holds 1.5 cups of dry dog food with a little bit of leftover space. I have to shake the bowl a bit to get the kibble to spread out evenly into the far reaches of the curves. Sometimes the dry food bounces out while I fill it which is the only reason I'm deducting 1 star. It has slowed our gulping dogs down from about 1 minute to 3-4 minutes for eating their 1.5 cups at meal time which is the desired result. My corgi used to finish her food in 30 seconds flat. Sometimes she would hurl it all back up 10 minutes later! Now after using this puzzle feeder it’s a little over 3 minutes. If I give her half of her food and then repeat after 5 minutes it’s even better. She’s calmer when she eats. Seems to be focused.

It's a bit too deep for my cats. They have to use their paws to dig the food out when it is down to about half full.It has helped with regurgitation.

This worked well to help slow our puppy down. At 20 pounds she was downing a bowl of food in 2 seconds. Then, she would throw it all up. This forced her to slow down and has eliminated the throw up issue. However, we have a larger dog (44 pounds), and she just picks it up and dumps it out. So, works best for smaller dogs.

Don't buy, if it's for your cats, because they can't get to the food! Going to donate to an animal shelter so hopefully it will help a dog who has eating issues.

I think this product should be marketed for big dogs. Cats and/or small dogs have a super difficult time getting the food I know its a slow feeder but . . . it was too much work for my cat he gave up and wined until we gave him food in his normal bowl lol

We love these slow feeders. They arrived in perfect condition. I run a dog sanctuary and about half of the dogs eat very fast because they were starved and underweight when we got them. Their brains are wired to eat very fast because they think they might not get fed again! These feeders slow them down and also make dinner time a fun activity. We’ve had some of these for over a year. They wash easily and we are very happy with this product.

My puppy eats and drinks so fast like there is a fire under her tail! She gags and coughs because she eats too fast. . . in less than 30 seconds and you would never know there was ever food in her bowl! I bought this hoping to slow her down.to my surprise it does! My kibble-gulping dog has slowed WAY DOWN now that she is using this bowl. She used to inhale her food and then bother all the other dogs trying to steal their food. indeed I was skeptical but this dish took our mixed breed Aussie from a 1 minute full bowl swallow to an 11 minute waltz with his food. At one point I thought he might give up, he was eyeing his sisters easier chow.but he kept going until every last bit was gone. We used kibble. I can't imagine this would be good for soft foods but idk. If your dog isn't highly motivated by food I suppose this could be a turn off. But for his it worked perfectly! Thank you!

it's a little tricky to put the food in the bowl - you obviously can't just dump the food in it, but spread it around into all the nooks and such. However, it has slowed my doggo's eating.normally I'd drop her food in her bowl walk to the other room drop her sister's food in her bowl and walk back and she'd be done. I ordered this because my dog wouldn't eat from her regular bowl.she would eat kibble off the floor, or in her kennel. ?!? Great bowl, holds a lot of food and very sturdy. I am concerned about the rubber "feet" on the bottom of the bowl that's supposed to keep it from sliding. The rubber doesn't go around the whole bowl like the name brand bowls. There are 5 little pieces that come out of their holes very easily. I'm afraid one of my chi's may get a hold of one and eat it or get caught in their throat. I'm just going to take them out and throw them away since I put the bowl on a mat anyways. Update:Product is still holding up every well. I will say our boxer has turned into a "little” pig while eating now so be prepared for some super snorts and grunts as they try and get every morsel. He tires himself out eating from this bowl and sometimes has to take a short break before going back at it.
