I had high hopes and it came true! Used on WM cars with double top rail. The rubber handle is pushed back and straightened. When the mcd small coffee mug was in the cup holder, the weight of the device exceeded w if there were light objects on the other side. The only problem is that the islands are so narrow now. When the device was left on the side of the car, it was often crushed or bumped. Will try the car on next visit. I love that it doubles as a bag holder and that it attaches to metal headrest supports. Win, win! With my little $1 shopping cart, I can hardly forget to take it off the cart when I'm done.
