Review on πŸ“Ί Enhance your TV Viewing Experience with Power Practical LED Lights – Luminoodle Backlight: USB Powered Strips, 15 Color Options & 10 Brightness Modes (41"-59" TV) by Naoka Garcia

I like the backlight, just a nuance.

I've used fluorescent backlighting on my last two TVs and liked it for better picture quality and less eye strain, but it was turned off by a separate switch and was a bit difficult to reach on the back. TV every time. When I saw the Luminoodle I was intrigued - low power consumption, less heat, better light diffusion and TV performance - perfect. On my 60" Panasonic I bought a 3m (118") Luminoodle for better coverage, plugged it in and quickly overloaded the USB port. Obviously the panny ports are rated for 500mA, but that's not listed in my manual (found online). Luckily the TV wasn't damaged, but I had to cut a few LEDs off the end of the strip to reduce the amount of current going to the port output. It's in the manual, it's easy but time consuming -- cut off 2 inches, turn on the TV, turn off the USB port switch, turn off the TV, cut off another 2 inches. Repeat 9 times. Anyway, I cut a total of 20 inches from a 3m Luminoodle (10 LEDs), mounted it on the back of the TV and it works great. I have 44 LEDs left on my strip so it will work with a 500mA USB connection. For a 12" unlit cable, a 118" cable (3m) has 54 LEDs and a 78" cable has 33 LEDs. My advice: If your TV is 55" or smaller and has a 500mA USB port, buy a 78" TV. Luminoodle, save $5 for an hour and a half of hassle --- 60 inches and up, take 118 inches and cut what you need. YMMV. he is hired. If it works right out of the box, it takes 5 minutes to install! Hope this helps Cole
