Review on πŸ“± Garmin Index S2 Smart Scale: Advanced Wireless Connectivity, Body Fat, Muscle, Bone Mass & More (White) by Andre Arias

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I really want to wait for the 2nd unit to arrive but

I will keep U posted. Then after I did that my Garmin app couldn't see my Garmin 1030 bike computer. It took a lot of fiddling but I finally got the app to recognize both devices. 2: The biggest unresolved issue is the accuracy and the way it turns on. OK, let's go. I keep this device in a place where other people won't mess with it. Every time I set it up, it turns on, resets to zero, and immediately turns off. So I step on it again to wake it up, then I get the hourglass icon, then the display dims while the hourglass is still showing, then it turns off (again). So I woke it up again, it turns on and resets I guess BUT IT DOESN'T REGISTER PROPERLY. This can read over 5 pounds more than I should. Then I repeat the run and read (maybe) 5 pounds less, 1 pound more, 2 pounds more, then 3 pounds less. In other words, IT IS EVERYWHERE. This is supposedly a $200 tech. I bought these to be able to transfer data directly to Garmin, but my other (older) scales are much more accurate and LESS CLEAN! And it only cost $70 with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 pounds. What I think is what it should have. But on my unit it's +/- 2 or 3 pounds! (And no, I didn't forget the decimal point). So I returned this first one in hopes of a more accurate tool. I will update once it arrives and is tested.

Tracks what I need it to but it doesn’t turn on like it should. Often takes way to long to wake up.
