Review on G Technology G DRIVE Mobile 1TB 0G06071 by Charles Russell

I have to say I have ordered G-Drives in the past with no problems. This has always been my choice when ordering for customers because Apple recommended it. But I ordered this at the beginning of August. I had over 90,000 priceless files from a client I was working on. Initially, the transfer speed was slower than normal, but I didn't think it was the hard drive. After 3 weeks the disc was completely broken. Mounting alone would take several hours, and several more hours just to read a file. It took me 2 weeks continuously to run the diagnostics with a data recovery program that couldn't recover anything. I ended up having to send it to a professional data recovery center who charged me $1,700 to restore it. It took them over a month to read all recoverable files. I really lost some files forever. It definitely caused me to lose confidence in this drive.
