Review on πŸ”§ Chemical Guys BUF_503X TORQX Random Polisher Kit: Complete Set with Pads, Polishes, and Compounds (9-Item Bundle) by Haggis Bryant

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for everyone! Long review and detailed guide. *UPDATE*

This is a great polisher for everyone. This is one of the few products that is extremely user-friendly. This polisher/buffer (everyone calls it by its own name) makes the weekend warrior look like a pro. This kit includes everything you see in the picture. Polish/buffer, 4-pack compounds and polishes (4 oz) and 3 pads. This is a complete system that allows you to fix most of the car's defects. But it's not a miracle worker. It takes time and the right technique to get great results. Even then, there are some things you can't fix. So before you think "I don't want to buy this because someone said it won't work," know that there are limits to color grading. I'll talk a little more about that. But first back to the rating. The block itself is very well built. It's a very strong and well balanced machine. "What does he mean by well balanced?" I mean, even on the lowest settings, you can operate this machine with one hand. The pads are Velcro (Velcro) and measure 5.5 inches. It's a slightly odd size that puts you in a situation. where you should find them most of the time online. But to be honest, that's the golden mean. Each seal has its own application. You need to make sure you're using the right one for each situation. Compositions by Chemical Guys from California. Your products are probably some of the best I've ever used. They are very easy to use and have a great smell. Yes, I said great smell. If you're going to paint or polish your car, it's nice to have something that smells nice. So if you've read this far and you know how to mix or polish a car, that's all I've got. For those of you who don't know what to do, you can read on if you like. This is a quick tutorial and list of products you need to get great results. 1: Wash your car. This is the starting point. for any body work. You should only use microfiber. * DO NOT USE terrycloth or household rags * These cloths will damage your paintwork and leave small scratches. 2: Clay Block Take your favorite clay block and cover the paint and glass. Roll and knead the clay regularly to get a clean/fresh side. Use clay lubricant or spray for quick detailing. Make small cuts at a time and wipe off excess product when finished. 3: IPAM Mix isopropyl alcohol and distilled water in a spray bottle (I'd do some research to see what's comfortable for you). This will remove any wax, clay bar or sealant left on the car. 4. Determine the work you need to do. Many people take it on with an all-or-nothing attitude. What you need to do is check for scratches, water stains, bird droppings, and other imperfections. From there you need to determine what the minimum can be used to repair the scratches. If you have a lot of paint repairs with deep scratches, you should connect. If it's just a water stain with a few scratches, you need to polish. However, this step is to determine what you need to use. With this in mind, depending on what you established in the previous step, start with the least aggressive to get the job done. If you can not get rid of all the flaws, then go to the composition (for example, from 36 to 38 in this set). When you have eliminated all the flaws, you can proceed to polishing and polishing the entire car. 6: Apply sealant. I recently used Jet Seal. I personally like it. Sealing basically protects your paintwork from contamination such as water stains, dirt and bird droppings. The blast sealing also makes the paint surface hydrophobic, which is very pleasant. 7. Apply your favorite wax. You can use any wax you want. I personally like to use liquid wax. Liquid wax can be applied with a polishing machine with a suitable pad. We're here to work smarter, not harder. That's all. Just remember that not all imperfections come to light. With a sloppy paint job, I expect about 90% of the imperfections to be removed. Then there are some things that you cannot remove with the products in this pack. Deep scratches on colored surfaces or show metal will not go away with these products. Orange peel is another imperfection that cannot be completely eliminated. Both of these types of defects require either wet sanding or the panel to be repainted. Please investigate. Look for different methods if you like. But once you're comfortable with what you know, blending and buffing is easy. And this set gives you almost everything you need. *Tip* Use a permanent marker to draw a line on the base color. This allows you to see if it spins freely on the paint or not. **Update** I have used these 4 ounce bottles on 2 cars and still have the product. These foam pads are great but I would buy more if you can. These pads are great for DIY, but if you plan to use them commercially, consider buying more pads. I've used the orange pad quite a bit as it's what I use to get rid of most deep scratches. Honestly if you buy a better cutting pad you would be better off. The machine itself is still in excellent condition and I have no regrets about the purchase. Update from 06/13/21:. Well I have used this set several times and have enjoyed using it. I say "loved" because someone broke into my garage thinking they were going to take it. I've been using it for 5 years and have bought various compounds and pads. It has held up very well and I still highly recommend it. Chemical Guys products are still the best products for the job and I highly recommend them.
