I live in a fairly small apartment and was looking for a compact colander to replace my bulky traditional colanders. It's the perfect size to keep in a small side cabinet with my bakeware. I love how durable they feel and how much space they save compared to the ones I already had. They are very strong, opening instantly and staying open until you are ready to close them again. Pretty easy to clean. Just don't let anything get too dry, like everything in the kitchen. I had noodles stuck in the hole and I didn't realize it until later and it was difficult to get out.
