I bought this to replace the small one I had in front of a chair on a wooden floor. My original rug had a jute backing and I bought a (supposedly) non-slip rug to put underneath. I quickly realized that this wasn't going to work. I had a chance to see this rug and as the description seemed appropriate I decided to try it. As long as I like it The back is really non-slip. I put it on a bare wooden floor straight out of the box. He held on every time I stepped on him and got out of my chair. It was folded in such a way that it straightened up when I put it down. It appears to be very well made and looks like a quality rug. From my experience so far I can highly recommend this product. I am very impressed!
