I live in Colorado, very dry climate, especially in winter. I have medium length naturally curly hair, low porosity, medium length. I used this deep conditioner for the first time today. It smells amazing at first (like pumpkin pie), but if left in hair the smell becomes less inviting (no scent left after rinsing). I didn't follow the directions because I don't believe in using shampoo after a deep conditioner. I shampooed, then deep-conditioned, rinsed (then applied a leave-in conditioner). My hair looked great today even though the dew point was 22 degrees and the humidity was around 34%. The hair products you use for your hair type and climate are crucial if you want to achieve shiny, healthy hair. 4 Stars: Deep conditioning is important (once a week) but I don't think it was because I changed my deep conditioning methods. It's a good conditioner, but I've used less expensive conditioners that have given decent results. This happens in very dry climates. I recommend giving it a try and maybe adding this conditioner (as an alternative) to your routine.
