Review on ๐ŸŒ€ Enhanced Comfort and Control: Vornado NGT335 Air Circulator Tower Fan with Remote, Versa-Flow, 33" Black by Daniel Greene

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I ordered a second one 10 minutes after installing it.

This isn't Vornado's first product, but it's probably the first we've spent over $30 on. These smaller, simpler round fans were good for what we used them for. We have adequate central air conditioning, but sometimes it struggles with the living room on hot sunny days because of a very large window. This is a fairly large living room, typical of a 1970's ranch home. Put it in a corner and it's almost impossible to find the spot in the room you want to be without feeling it in top speed and widespread. I'm on a completely different side of the room and my hair is flapping a little on my forehead. There's a constant, light but very pleasant breeze blowing everywhere on the opposite wall, and it's only better in most other places in the room. I didn't do anything special with placement other than maximizing power dissipation and fan speed, and paying attention to the direction of the vents. At this other end of the room, you can hear it at top speed, but not enough to even raise your voice in a conversation. I can comfortably speak to everyone in the room in a calm, normal tone. This is also at top speed. If I flick the remote left two or three times, I can barely hear it from across the room, and the breeze is still noticeable. A few more clicks and it's only audible in a quiet room, plus you can still feel the wind. Standing next to him at top speed is noticeably louder, but still not intrusive. I probably wouldn't sit next to him most of the time, but if I did, it would be bearable. Very, very quiet for the volume it puts out. When I close the vents to their narrow position at maximum fan speed, it looks like a narrow band of strong wind that easily crosses the entire room. a few minutes before I ordered another to keep the temperature in the kitchen while I prepare large meals. We don't have enough air conditioning in this room even if we use the stove or oven for a long time. It was easy to assemble and the controls were simple. The stand was easy to install and is reasonably (if not overly) sturdy. Also, unlike the reviews I read about competing products while shopping, it has a panel that can be removed to clean the blades. I haven't tested the timer function yet, but I think it's unlikely I'll find any complaints about it. I can't imagine being happier with this fan.
